Dinosaur Fossil Cookies

If there is anything my kids love more than dinosaurs, it’s cookies! So why not combine them both?

Here’s what you’ll need:
Cookie dough
Dinosaur toys
Egg-shaped cookie cutter (optional)
Parchment paper (NOT optional)

We used sugar cookie dough, but I think PB cookies would work well, too. After rolling the dough I used an Easter egg cookie cutter to cutout the cookies and then used the toys to make imprints. We decided to use a small dino, a big one for footprints and a plant toy for the leaf imprint. Remember to wash them first!

I was worried about the imprints disappearing once the cookies expanded so I rolled some thinner than others. The thinner ones kept the imprint better but were a little crispy. The thicker ones lost some shape but I just went back over them with the toys as soon as they were done and before they cooled and hardened. And it worked great! Enjoy!
