Shapes Keys

We made these popsicle stick keys when the kids starting fighting over a pair of toy keys. We’ve had fun deciding what each key “unlocks” and going around the house “unlocking” things.

My favorite is the heart key. I told them it unlocks my heart and then give them a big hug!

All you need is:
Regular popsicle sticks
Jumbo popsicle stick
Tacky glue or glue gun
Scissors
Markers or paint

I just cut the regular popsicle sticks in half and glue the slightly shorter half on top of the other one.

Then cut the ends of the jumbo stick and overlap to make a heart! Other shapes can be made with the remainder of the jumbo stick. If you have model magic, you could make shapes the day before then color those and glue to the tops of the keys, too!

What will your keys unlock??
