This is one of my favorite snack crafts we have done. It worked great with my toddler and my preschooler. WARNING: Many froot loops were consumed during the making of this craft – and maybe some with glue.
All you need to complete this at home is:
- Froot loops cereal
- Bowl
- School glue
- Printout or drawing of a rainbow with six stripes (there is no indigo in froot loops)
I had my kids sort their bowl of Froot Loops into piles first. Of course, for every one Froot Loop that made it into the pile, one made it into their mouths, so make sure to have plenty on hand.

I placed dots of glue equally spaced across the first row and had the kids place the first color of Froot Loops down. Depending on your child’s age, they may be able to do this themselves. My concern was my preschooler crowding up front and then running out of that color halfway. I then did the second row of glue, and they placed the orange Froot Loops down, etc. We talked about each color and the order of the rainbow throughout.

They enjoyed making it and eating the cereal and they turned out beautiful!
