Pom Poms Color Sorting

Can you tell we LOVE Pom Poms over here? In fact, my kids first learned to love Poms Poms when grandma would watch them and let them “Pop the Pom Poms,” and essentially throw a bag of hundreds of Poms all over the house, some of which I am still finding in random nooks and crannies.

So momma had to do what mommas have to do and the Pom Poms now live in a bag in mommy’s office. When they do get to use them it’s always a treat. I’ve set aside groups of six different colors and matching foam paper in a separate ziploc bag, and I let my daughter sort the Poms by color. Then they all go back in a ziploc bag!

We got some cute foam cubes from Dollar Tree that she sorts into coordinating cups, too. An easy peasy activity to learn colors, learn  to sort and work on fine motor skills!
